Placing Symbols by Coverage Radius

This command places symbols based on coverage radius. Electrical Application calculates the maximum distance between elements for selected room and places symbols at a specified coverage radius.

  1. Select (Place Symbols by Coverage Radius). Click data point and reset inside a room shape. Opens the Place Symbols by Coverage Radius dialog.


  2. Set symbol Radius and enter Height. Clicking Select opens the Symbol Manager dialog. Select a symbol and click OK. The selected symbol appears in the Place Symbols by Coverage Radius dialog.
  3. Click >Preview to see the symbol in the view, and >CAD to place it. A matrix of symbols get placed in the room.


Each symbol can be edited individually.

To change the height of symbols that are already placed in drawing, use the (Modify Symbol Height).



Select symbol(s) in drawing and then enter new height.

Note: This function works for one room only.
